This role fulfills one of the most vital programs to Cleveland Clinic and its history by contributing to the open-heart surgery team. -A caregiver in this position works Monday - Friday from 6:00am - 2:30pm or 6:00am - 4:30pm. There is on-call, night, weekend and holiday requirements.A caregiver who excels in this role will: - -

• Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. - -
  • Perform scrub and circulating functions. - -
    • Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use. - -Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - -
      • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. - -
        • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). - -
          • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). -
            • One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic's Perioperative Residency Program. - -Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: -
              • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN). -
                • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).                   • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
                  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
                  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
                  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing > than 75 pounds periodically.Personal Protective Equipment:
